ET Phone home.

Phone photography is great. I love it. More people should do it. Here are some of my recent phonephotos:

Good job, God.

The last few leaves on my favorite tree.

The last thing you want to see in the bathroom.

$5 minimum purchase at Shanks... that's a good and bad thing.

Jasper: "The suuun is like a gold and yellow cherryyyy without the piiitttt."
It's probably more like "Let me out of heeerre!"

Elitist milk?
nonsuperskimmilkdrinker: "I have skim milk, would you like some?"
superskimmilkdrinker: "Only if it's SUPER"
What have we come to?!

Rhodes

Sam and Michelle Rhodes are childhood friends and last night, Julia and I got together with them. (Michelle's my age, Sam's Julia's age)... Well, while me and Michelle were catching up enjoying a nice fire, we heard Sam and Julia playing guitar. Sooooo, this is what happened. (see video)
You two should definitely go on the road.
Yeah yeah yeah.

Surpriiiiiiise

I'm coming back!!!!

The usual.

The usual Thanksgiving in Pennsylvania:
1. Play guitar with grandpa. The standard repertoire: You Are My Sunshine, Old Rugged Cross, Jingle Bells, Silent Night, and Old Darn Mule.

2.Let Dad and Uncle Jim tell riddles and do card tricks. Humor them by letting them tell the same joke they did last year.

3.Walk around the block.

4. Nap

5. Go to Sheetz on the way home and buy enough chips to last a month. Also, watch a movie. (This year was Kung Fu Panda. much better than I thought it would be. Good job, Keith)

Happy Thanksgiving! As I'm growing up and actually becoming friends with my relatives instead of just "this is my cousin" or "Hi grandpa", I've become truly grateful for them in my life. The little things like telling jokes, eating at a fold out table, and playing guitar with grandpa really mean a lot more to me now than it did when I was younger.

1234 Kristen

www.every365.blogspot.com for more information.
I love Kristen Brammer!

Eat lots of turkey and hug people

I am thankful for:
1. Harmonicas and Maracas/Egg-shakers. So simple, yet so satisfying.
2. Youtube and Blogger. Thanks for giving me an online life. So pathetic, yet so pleasurable!
3. Toby (dog) and Flapjack (bunny). For giving me a friend when I'm home alone. So loseresque, yet so lovable!
4. Redbox. Entertainment that fits the budget!
5. Phone ringtones. For spontaneous bursts of joy.
6. Wool socks. For toasty toes. We should give them to everyone. I am serious. (See me for more details)
7. Car trunks. What a good idea!

In all seriousness (the above is serious, but this is a more serious serious), God has been richly blessed beyond measure with a wonderful family, dependable friends, and many pathways available for the taking in my life. It's kind of annoying that the only time I really stop to think about it is on Thanksgiving. I will work on that.

Lastly, I'm thankful for you, person who reads my blog. Without you I would truly be a loser...blogging...to myself...

Great.

Jess King. Porchswing. Windchime. OSHstreet. WHAT could be better? Jess's dad, cousin, and uncle came to tailgate for the JMU vs. W&M game. (JMU won). Jess's dad wants me or Julia to marry Matt. I vote Julia since Jess has already been planning that for years. Thoughts?
Julia and I went to Hanks to visit good ol' Andrew Spotts. As always, the ride there was beautiful and the food scrumptious. There are cats that stay behind the restaurant and eat the trash. Classy. So what did we do? Try to catch them of course. Classier, I know. Mission failed. Life goes on.
After eating, Heather summons us to Hillendale park, we get run off immediately (it's after dark) so we drive with the Stinsons. Families are awesome. We stop at a lake?I think? We think there's someone following us. There's not. We're upset. "Follow us, Creep!"

Sidd and Melissa's recital was the main reason for my voyage to JMU, and it was quite enjoyable. Melissa is great at bowing different ways and emptying her spit valve. Sidd is good at being politically incorrect. With that said, I like them.

In my correct opinion, any trip to Harrisonburg is incomplete without a dance party... and.. galloping??? (coughmattpleasehavearavecough)

Step 1: Find a spot to dance. Step 2: Watch 27 people walk right where you're groovin'. Step 3: Take a picture underwater. Step 4: Repeat.

The worst part of my visit was finding the remains of the reindeer that once gave the GH cheer. What was even worse was discovering that Kristen Brammer murdered it! These pictures tell the story. You will not die in vain, Reindeer... or should I call you horse-with-no-name?

The murderer and her accomplice!!!!!!

How high?

I walk into the kitchen to hear extremely hear high pitches. Heather, Julia, and my mom are seeing how high they each can sing. So I give it a try. How high can YOU go?
Note: I am fresh outta the shower so I'm so fresh and so clean clean!
2nd note: I am wearing my Dueling Dragons t-shirt. Be jealous.
3rd note: I won.

I started a second blog for birthdays/birthday videos and such. http://www.every365.blogspot.com/

I know, I am a nerd. And you know what? I like it.

I think for years I've denied how much of a computer nerd I am... It's time to embrace it. I love blogging.

Great Falls and Barn Dance Bummer

After the craft fair we decided to go to Great Falls. It was a beautiful day and not being outside would be the biggest waste of life. So, Julia got directions, we got in the car, and went. Almost reaching our destination, it occured to me 'The destination for these directions isn't the park...' Me: "Julia, did you get directions to Great Falls Park or Great Falls, VA??"
Julia: ummm...
Me: Call Reece to get directions
Julia: (on the answering machine) REEEECEEEE! PICK UP THE PHOOOONNNNEEE
Heather: what's going on?
We ended up stopping at a Safeway and saw some Boyscout Troop leaders. Heather and I asked them where the park was and we found it no problem. On the way there, we saw a sign that said "Barn Dance Tonight!" Ooooh we must check it out. But first, the park!

Heather: Shouldn't we bring water? We go inside looking for waterbottles. All of them smell bad, so we fill up this pitcher and bring it along.
Heather: Are we really going to carry this around with us?
We leave it on my car.

I know, the sweater is hot.

Julia may have a shot at modeling... Heather on the other hand... maybe acting? hmmm let's watch the video and then decide?

On the way back home, we stopped at the house that said "Barn Dance Tonight" We pull into the driveway, a dog comes up to us, we get out and meet the owner. We ask if it's open to the public. It is, but it's $50 a head. It's for charity. She shows us the barn that they transformed into a dancing area, with a stage for a band. The place looked awesome. It was a big bummer, but fun to see that stuff like that still happens.

Craft Fair

Every year at FCHS, there's a craft fair. This year there were over 70 vendors. Jewelry, hats, piggy banks, baked goods, natural healing remedies, scrap booking, bows, peanuts, raffle tickets, and more!

My dad's the booster president, and here you see him charming the ladies as usual. Way to go, Dad! One of my dad's specialties is the 50/50 raffle. You buy a ticket for a dollar, and if your number is pulled, you get half of whatever was raised. So when my dad got home he called the winner and said "you've won! It's 16 dollars!" I mean, that's not a lot but hey, I'd take it!

Every year there is SO much chili and this year was no exception. So what did we do? We ate it of course. I've never been to a chili competition, but I had such a hard time choosing which one I wanted to eat.

Yum, yum, yum. We helped deliver food to the vendors who ordered some (We = Julia, Reece, Heather, and I. Although I won't take credit, they did a lot more work than I did) Not pictured is a very excited asian girl holding up a sign that said "Peanuts" pointing to the orchestra booth. Man, do I miss those days... not really.

I bought a keychain and some magnets from a boy I went to high school with. He has muscular dystrophy but is able to draw. So now I got rid of the stupid key chain I had that said "If a woman's place is in the house, why am I always in the car?" haha. that one was already on it when I bought my car.

Old men.

I was late to work today, so as soon as I parked, I rushed to gather everything together. By the time I made it in, I realized I left my car keys in my car (This I have done 5 or more times). So I quickly make my way out of LLBean, through Bloomingdales and out the door. As I'm exiting, I see this chubby old man with a slight hobble in his step walking towards the store. He had fuzzy white hair, a black knitted sweater, and a cane. I held the door open for him (He was just getting onto the sidewalk). This is the story:

Me: (open door) Going in?
Old man: Ohhh, thank you so much! (huge old man grin)
Me: You're welcome.
Old man: (old man starts laughing; stops before going inside) Why, if you were older...
Me: (chuckle)
Old man: You-you're a little too young for me. (pats my hand)
Me: (laughs) Yes, just a little. Thank you. Have a great day!
Old man: (hobble, hobble, hobble)

This has happened many times before with different old men characters. And I have to say that more old men have showed "interest" in me than guys my age. C'mon guys, get with the program! :)
Moral of the story: being late to work ended up giving me the highlight of my day. Now if I were older...

BlackBird

I haven't pulled out my cello since spring semester, and today was a beautiful day. So I went outside with Toby, brought my guitar and recorded Blackbird. It doesn't sound too good, but it doesn't sound terrible either, so for those of you cool enough to read my blog, this is for you. It's not perfect but it's not supposed to be.

Voice Changes

I love having Heather here. The obvious reason being it's Heather. The other is that her computer is fun. So I was playing around with her built in camera and found that you can take video and make your voice change. Check out the video below. Also, Toby's cast is now off, so he's no longer a transformer.

Creeper

me: YOU'RE so fun. and i think i'm drunk on nyquil and am going to call it a night. (i'm a little sick)
Jess: oh yeah thats what your blog said
Jess: wow that sounds like a creeper
